The Weekly Cookie

For our very first Weekly Cookie…

Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookies, aka Scotchies.

What we will need:

  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 3/4 cups softened butter
  • 3/4 cups brown sugar
  • 3/4 cups white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp almond or vanilla extract
  • 3 cups Old-Fashioned oats
  • 1 1/2 cups Butterscotch chips
  • 1 cookie baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • 2 mixing bowls
  • spatula or wooden spoon

Preheat your oven to 375. Mix dry contents together in one large bowl, except the oats and chips. In your other bowl cream together the wet ingrediants, the eggs, butter and almond extract. Slowly add in all the mixed dry ingredients and fold all the ingredients together. Once the ingrediants are combined add in the oats and chips. Drop tablespoon size portions on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake at 375 for 9-11 minutes. Enjoy!
